Teaching method

Learn and practice

Learn and practice French with the teacher’s family is a great social and linguistic experience. This method offers more flexibility for the student and the teacher than traditional approaches. It allows for a personalized teaching environment in total immersion with the language.

Staying and learning French in the house of the native teacher has proven to be the most efficient method.

Malikaread more

Madame Reine and I held about 15 private conversation classes over a period of 5 weeks in the spring of 2018. Needless to say, she really launched my lifelong desire to continue learning and speaking this exquisite language. With Reine, you learn not just the language foundation but also the culture and idiosyncracies of the French people. She loves her language, country and culture, yet also offers her candid assessment of some of its issues and need for reform. So I always appreciated her earnest attempts to view issues from both sides -- that to me, is a sign of great warmth and compassion. Reine tailors her lessons according to the student's level and interests. We really hit it off and I couldn't wait for the next "séance de conversation". In Reine, I gained a cherished friend, and highly recommend her to students who can appreciate her profound interest in her students and desire to help elevate their French speaking abilities! 10/10 !!!read more

I would like to highly recommend Reine Pousson-Ribis as a teacher of the French language and French culture. She is a dedicated, personable, knowledgeable and professional instructor. I have had the pleasure of being her student for one year, and my level of French has increased from a beginning level to intermediate level. Reine is able to adapt teaching and learning to the individual as well as create practical experiences for maximum learning. During my classes with her, she has consistently been efficient, organized, and positive. Her enthusiasm and patience encourages self confidence and optimum success in learning a language. Reine demonstrates an excellent rapport with people of all ages, levels, and nationalities, and she is able to adapt her methods and her various materials to meet the needs of the student. With my personal experience as a teacher, I recognize and appreciate her efforts as well as her diverse and modern teaching methods.read more
